Buckhorn Retreat

September 1st - September 4th, 2017


Our annual Church Retreat at the Buckhorn Camp will be held on Labor Day weekend, Friday September 1st at 4:30 pm through Monday September 4th at 1:30 pm. REGISTER TODAY! Registration closes on Friday, August 25th.

Accommodations offered include - rustic cabins with bunk beds and private bathrooms, shared dorms with shared bathrooms, and tent camping with shared bathrooms. 2 or 3 night options are available and delicious meals are included. Dietary restrictions and food allergies can be accommodated. The retreat includes a variety of activities and workshops, hikes and games, campfires, our traditional evening game show and a beautiful outdoor worship service on Sunday morning. New activities this year include paddle boarding, archery and a low ropes course (sign up for these with small additional fees.) You can participate in lots of group activities…or just spend the day reading and relaxing. Buckhorn is great for families, children and youth love it and it is also a wonderful way for adults of all ages to make deep connections.

The Buckhorn camp is located up Rist Canyon less than an hour from Fort Collins. You will receive a retreat packet one week before the retreat with a packing list, directions and everything you need to know to prepare for a great weekend.

Professional Ethics in Congregational Life Training

Join us for this important conversation and training about power, authority, boundaries, and ethics in congregational life. We'll be joined by Rev. Kelly Dignan, Minister at the UU Church of Boulder. Rev. Dignan has completed certification training in professional ethics and misconduct, and whose congregation has done extensive work in this area. Optional pizza dinner at 5:30pm.

An Evening of Protest Songs

This evening concert will feature protest songs from a variety of social movements that have helped to unite and push forward our progress towards equality. This evening will be outdoors and all ages are welcome. We encourage you to bring some form of seating, as the venue does not have built-in seats.

Location: Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado located at 2626 West Horsetooth Rd.

Suggested Donation: $15 for Adults $5 for Children. No one turned away for lack of funds.
